Background
The CDC ACM driver exposes the USB device as a virtual modem or a
virtual COM port to the Windows operating system.
Jungo offers a complete and comprehensive USB CDC ACM evaluation version and complementary
installation and testing utilities and an extensive samples package.
The evaluation version enables full evaluation and validation of
various USB CDC ACM features (read/write to serial port, send/get
encapsulated commands and more), using a wide selection of
samples that allow you to explore each feature.
Feature list
- Supports Windows 2000, XP, Server 2003 and Vista operating systems (x86 and x64 platforms).
- Support for multiple USB CDC ACM devices on separate physical USB devices.
- Support composite USB devices with multiple CDC ACM functions.
- ACM function can be enumerated in one of the two ways:
- Support synchronous I/O and overlapped I/O
- Support serial events (e.g. TX empty, RX ready, RLSD, RING)
- Support encapsulated commands.
- Support configuration of serial port (e.g. baud rate, flow control)
- The drivers are WHQL-ready.
Utilities
- Installation script for modem.
- Installation script for virtual serial port (virtual COM port).
- Command line installation utility.
To allow further integration with the customers' installer, all utilities are provided with the source code.
Demo Limitations
- The drivers are provided as binary object (without source code).
- The Evaluation version of the driver is limited to 12 Hours, after which the driver needs to be reloaded.
- The evaluation version is limited to Windows XP, 32bit.
