In order to create a connection on an Ethernet gateway using the wizard, click
the 'New Connection' link in the Network Connections screen. The 'Connection
Wizard' screen will appear (see figure 5.3).

This screen presents you with the main connection types. Each option that
you choose will lead you to further options in a tree-like formation, adding
more information with each step and narrowing down the parameters towards the
desired network connection.
- Internet Connection
Selecting this option will take you to the 'Internet Connection' screen
(see figure 5.4). This section of the wizard
will help you set up your Internet connection, in one of the various
methods available.

The tree formation of this section of the wizard is depicted in
figure 5.5, where rectangles
represent the steps/screens to be taken and ellipses represent the
connections.

- Connect to a Virtual Private Network over the Internet
Selecting this option will take you to the 'Connect to a Virtual Private
Network over the Internet' screen (see
figure 5.13). This section will help you connect
OpenRG to a business network using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) so you
can work from home, your workplace or another location.

- Advanced Connection
Selecting this option will take you to the 'Advanced Connection' screen
(see figure 5.8). This section is a central
starting point for all the aforementioned logical network connections. In
addition, it provides the sequence for creating the Network Bridge and
VLAN Interface connections.

Each logical connection described later in this chapter will include the
"route" needed to be taken through the Connection Wizard in order for the
connection to be created.
