Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) is the most popular method
for transporting packets between the user and the Internet service provider.
PPP supports authentication protocols such as PAP and CHAP, as well as other
compression and encryption protocols.
- Service Name
- Specify the networking peer's
service name, if provided by your ISP.
- PPP-on-Demand
- Use PPP on demand to
initiate the point-to-point protocol session only when packets are actually
sent over the Internet.
- Time Between Reconnect Attempts
- Specify
the duration between PPP reconnected attempts, as provided by your ISP.
