Product: Jungo Adds Enhanced QoS for VoIP
Jungo recently added enhanced QoS for VoIP to its OpenRG software for voice
gateways. The software supports a number of QoS features to ensure that VoIP packets
are handled with higher priority than data. Related features include implementing
RTP/RTCP protocols in kernel mode to reduce latency due to task switching, sending
VoIP packets with IP TOS/Difffserv bits set to ensure higher priority handling
on the network, and ensuring that VoIP packets are handled with higher priority
by the Gateway high priority queues in the WAN interface driver. The latest
version of OpenRG for Voice gateways is available for Intel IXP425 platforms
and Infineon's INCA-IP and ADM5120 platforms. Evaluation Kits for OpenRG
supporting the Coyote platform are available from ADI Engineering. To

Jungo's OpenRG software is being deployed in SMC's EZ Connect™ Wireless Cable Modem Router,
SMC8013WG. The EZ Connect Wireless Cable Modem Router recently received CableHome™ 1.1 certification
from CableLabs® assuring customers with network reliability, interoperability and security.
The Router combines DOCSIS® 1.1 cable connectivity, an integrated 4-port switch and an
802.11g access point in one device to securely distribute broadband connectivity throughout
the home or office. By incorporating Jungo's OpenRG CableHome™ 1.1-based software, SMC
can now offer a CableHome 1.1 certified cable modem with enhanced features such as SPI
Firewall protection, VPN support, remote management, and remote upgrade capabilities.

Partners: Infineon Selects OpenRG to Offer Complete VoIP Solutions
Infineon Technologies, a leading provider of semiconductor and system
solutions, is offering a comprehensive VoIP solution for IP phones, Analog
Telephone Adaptors (ATAs) and voice gateways, based on Jungo's OpenRG software.
The combined software/hardware package enables OEMs and ODMs to develop a wide
range of VoIP devices for the rapidly expanding IP telephony market. Infineon's
single chip IP telephone, the INCA-IP, and advanced 2/4 channel ATA which features

Support: Exciting New Features on the Jungo Customer Support Center
In its ongoing effort to educate customers and provide them with high
quality customer support, Jungo recently added several new sections to the
Customer Support Center. For troubleshooting purposes, Jungo Customer Support
added frequently asked questions (FAQs) to clearly respond to common OpenRG-related
questions. Additionally, there are now links to OpenRG documentation including the
User Manual and Programmer's Guide for quick and easy access to the latest versions.
