Jungo Expands Operations and Appoints New VP Sales

Company: Jungo expands operations and appoints Eli Fux as VP sales
Following significant growth in the recent fiscal quarters, Jungo is expanding its workforce by 20%, hiring additional staff in sales, marketing, R&D and QA. Jungo recently appointed Mr. Eli Fux as VP of Sales to lead the worldwide sales operations. Mr. Fux has over 18 years of experience in the networking and communications industry as both a large company and a start up executive. Before joining Jungo Mr. Fux served as a Senior Director of Business Development at Marvell Semiconductor Inc., a technology leader in the development of extreme broadband communications and storage solutions. Earlier Mr. Fux was a founder and Vice-President of marketing and sales at RADLAN, a leading provider of enterprise networking software, acquired by Marvell in February of 2003.

Customers: Jungo's OpenRG deployed with Schmid Telecom's new SHDSL voice/data gateway
Swiss based Schmid Telecom is deploying its new voice/data SHDSL gateway Integrated Access Device (IAD) powered by Jungo's OpenRG software. The Pegasus IAD is an SHDSL access device for broadband data access and multi-channel voice transmission on one single copper wire pair. The IAD includes an integrated router to allow it to behave as a fully managed standalone small-medium-enterprise (SME) access device, delivering voice and data services. Jungo has recently joined the ARMŽ Connected Community, a global network of companies aligned to provide a complete solution, from design to manufacture and end use, for products based on the ARM architecture.

Market updates: In-Stat/MDR reports broadband CPE market headed for dramatic shift
According to the high-tech research firm In-Stat/MDR, the broadband Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) market is transitioning from a modem-dominated one to a gateway-dominated one, with cable firms and Telcos finally turning talk into action with orders for gateway-based CPE. Providers are evolving CPE strategies to include fuller gateways that enable, at the very least, a back-end managed home network. Read more here.
