Customers: Jungo Software Platform For Multi Service Business Gateway Is Deployed By Linksys And Siemens A new version of OpenSMB software platform delivers manageable security, Voice over IP, routing and office server modules, enabling the provisioning of converged data.

The new solution is targeted at OEMs developing carrier grade multi service gateways delivering VoIP business telephone service, high-speed data networking, security and advanced applications from a hosted services provider. The newly introduced solution is already deployed by leading tier one OEMs such as Linksys and Siemens.

Technology: Jungo Released OpenRG/OpenSMB v4.2 With Support For TR-098 DSLHome Standard And SSL VPN Secure Remote Access Jungo has recently released OpenRG and OpenSMB 4.2 version, which includes new technology modules for broadband CPE manufacturers. Version 4.2 now includes TR-098 DSL Home standard support to enable a remote configuration of QoS parameters for Telco managed CPEs. Jungo’s TR-098 is part of an extensive DSLHome solution for multi-service gateways including TR-69 and TR-64.

The new version also includes SSL VPN – to enable secure remote access through applications such as Telnet, FTP and Remote Desktop to the local network. All modules can be remotely updated to gateways that are already deployed by Jungo's customers, and are pre-integrated into the OpenRG and OpenSMB software suites for easy implementation in future devices.

Silicon Partners: New Software/Hardware Reference Design For Residential And Business Gateways Jungo and Freescale Semiconductor have collaborated to deliver an Office-in-a-Box reference platform for the small-medium business (SMB) multi-service gateway market. The Office-in-a-Box platform blends Jungo’s field-proven OpenSMB software with Freescale’s MPC8349E mITX reference board and Vitesse’s SparX Gigabit Ethernet switch technology.

The reference platform enables network equipment vendors to develop products that support a rich suite of IT services and capabilities, such as VoIP, IP-PBX, Gigabit Ethernet LAN switch, stateful packet inspection (SPI) firewall, VPN router, application-aware QoS, print server and network-attached storage (NAS).

Software Partners: Jungo Partners with Motive and Extends Its Software Platform's Support of DSLHome's Standards For Multi-Service Gateways Jungo has successfully demonstrated interoperability of its OpenRG residential gateway software with device management software from Motive, Inc. The interoperability tests were conducted as part of the MotiveSmart™ Verification Program, which evaluates customer premises equipment (CPE) for compliance with the DSL Forum’s WAN Management protocol, known as TR-069.

Jungo’s OpenRG Residential gateway software platform includes additional DSL Forum’s standard support that complements the TR-069 protocol such as TR-064 & TR-098.
