Jungo Releases Version 8 of its WinDriver USB/PCI Product-Family
New WinDriver version includes Windows 64-bit, Linux
Itanium, and Solaris 10 support; WinDriver USB Device introduces
firmware generation toolkit for Philips-based USB designs and
standard Mass Storage connectivity for the Microchip

Jungo Software Technologies Inc., a leading provider of
USB/PCI software
solutions, today announced the release of version 8 of its
market leading WinDriver product line: WinDriver USB/PCI
– development tool for high-performance and cross-operating
system user-mode USB/PCI/PCIe device drivers supporting Windows,
Windows CE, Linux, Solaris and VxWorks; and WinDriver USB
Device - for USB firmware code generation.
The new WinDriver USB/PCI release supports Windows XP
64-bit environments and Windows Server 2003 64-bit environments
(x64) on the Intel EM64T and AMD64 architectures. In addition to
the existing code generation in C, Delphi and Visual Basic,
WinDriver 8 now also supports automatic driver code generation in
C# and Visual Basic .NET, as well as driver projects for the
latest Visual Studio 2005 development environment.
For the Linux operating system, WinDriver 8 now supports the
latest Linux kernel 2.6.14, and completes the support for 64-bit
environments such as Intel Itanium and Itanium 2 architectures
(IA64), in addition to the already supported Intel EM64T and
AMD64 architectures. WinDriver version 8 also includes support
for the Solaris 10 and OpenSolaris operating systems, thereby
providing a complete cross operating support to all latest
Windows, Linux and Solaris platforms.
WinDriver USB Device version 8, the firmware development toolkit, now includes USB chapter-9 support for the
Philips PDIUSBD12 chipset, adding to the already supported
Cypress FX2LP, Microchip PIC18F4550 and Silicon Laboratories
C8051F320 USB controllers. For the first time, WinDriver USB
Device also includes a ready-made mass storage class library
optimized for 8051 microcontrollers, including the support for
double buffering and removable media, to implement standard USB
mass storage connectivity within the Microchip PIC18F4550
development board
