Jungo Successfully Completes TR-069 Interoperability Testing and Joins MotiveSmart Verification Program

Jungo extends its software platform’s support of DSLHome’s standards for Telco-grade managed multi-service gateways

San Jose, CA, February 9, 2006

Jungo ltd., a leading provider of residential, SOHO and SMB gateway software platforms, today announced that it has successfully demonstrated interoperability of its OpenRG residential gateway software with device management software from Motive, Inc. The interoperability tests were conducted as part of the MotiveSmart™ Verification Program, which evaluates customer premises equipment (CPE) for compliance with the DSL Forum’s WAN Management protocol, known as TR-069.
Interoperability with Motive’s software allows Jungo to meet the growing demand for remote management and CPE auto-configuration in the digital home. Jungo’s OpenRG Residential gateway software platform includes additional DSL Forum’s standard support that complements the TR-069 protocol such as TR-064 and TR-098. TR-064 provides a zero-touch solution for automating the installation and configuration of gateways from the LAN side. TR-098 enables remote configuration of QoS parameters for Telco managed CPEs using an ACS. Jungo’s TR-098 provides a remote interface to Jungo’s unique Stateful QoS to enable multi-service play.

The MotiveSmart Verification Program uses standards-based verification testing to enable partners to rapidly develop, market and sell CPE that leverage Motive’s industry-leading management automation solutions for broadband services. This interoperability allows service providers using Motive’s Home Device Manager to remotely activate, configure and maintain Jungo’s OpenRG residential gateway software to streamline the delivery of triple-play voice, video and data services. These capabilities will enable carriers to respond more quickly to customer inquiries about their digital home devices, while eliminating the need for expensive truck rolls. In addition, consumers will benefit from self-service solutions such as zero-touch device configuration, Web-based service registration, auto-provisioning of new services, proactive problem resolution and automated device upgrades and tuning.

“We are pleased to add Jungo to the list of the MotiveSmart Verification Program members,” said Sanjay Castelino, Motive’s vice president of industry marketing. “Working with broadband providers has helped Motive understand the key role management software plays in accelerating the rollout of new services in this dynamic market. Jungo’s interoperability with Motive’s software ensures that devices implementing Jungo’s OpenRG platform are equipped with the standards-based management capabilities that enable feature-rich, easy-to-deploy solutions for service providers.”

“We have seen significant demand from world-wide Telco operators for remote management capabilities that enable simple configuration and management of multi-service gateways”, said Gilad Brand, Jungo’s Director of Product Management. “ The Jungo and Motive’s combination enables CPE manufacturers to bring to market a carrier grade solution, which complies with Telco’s multi-service gateway management specifications.”
