The platform, based on Jungo’s OpenSMB and the Intel® IXP425 network processor will be demonstrated at Jungo’s Booth #1334 and Intel’s Booth #1201

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 9, 2005

Jungo Software Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of home, SOHO and SMB gateway software, announced that it has made a multiprotocol carrier grade converged voice and data software platform. This VoIP solution is comprised of software from Jungo and a hardware reference platform from Intel. The newly introduced solution is one of the most complete and integrated software platforms commercially available today for voice/data business gateways, supporting a full set of voice, data and security applications. The platform will be demonstrated at the VON Spring Show in San Jose at the Jungo and Intel booths.

This platform supports the Intel® IXDPG425 Network Gateway Reference Platform which includes the Intel® IXP425 network processor. It provides customer premise equipment (CPE) manufacturers with a complete and integrated hardware and software platform that simplifies the design of carrier grade business gateways. Manufacturers using Jungo’s software will be able to offer converged voice and data gateways with new levels of performance, quality and security and allow their small and medium business customers to maintain their infrastructure investment by converging existing voice lines onto their data network.

Jungo’s VoIP solution is a fully integrated high-performance software platform for security, voice and data products such as Integrated Access Devices (IADs), security VoIP routers, and voice gateways. The solution integrates advanced security applications (Firewall, VPN), multiprotocol VoIP signaling (H.323, SIP and MGCP) with run-time protocol selection, advanced telephony features, generic DSP interface, high performance RTP, and voice gateway applications and management – all in a single-source solution. As a result, manufacturers can concentrate on developing product-differentiating features and bring their devices to market faster.

“The Intel® IXDPG425 Network Gateway Reference Platform was designed to enable robust performance for converged access platforms featuring rich voice, data and security capabilities for residential through small business applications,” said Terry West, network processor marketing director, Infrastructure Processor Division, Intel Corporation. “When combined with Jungo’s extensive software portfolio optimized for the IXP42X product line, this platform offers excellent faster time-to-market for Original Design Manufacturers and Original Equipment Manufacturers.”

“Jungo is committed to providing the most advanced features and reliability required by today’s businesses,” said Udi Yuhjtman, Jungo’s vice President of Business Development. “The availability of Jungo’s and the VoIP reference platform from Intel makes- data and voice convergence over broadband – a reality for the SMB market.”
