Complete Mobile Broadband USB Solution Now Available

In the run-up to the World Mobile Congress 2010 in Barcelona, Jungo has announced that its USB solution for Mobile Broadband devices is now available for terminal equipment OEMs and chipset manufacturers. The solution, which is based on Jungo's USBware and DriverCore technologies, ensures seamless connectivity between host platforms, such as PCs and laptops, and the increasingly wide variety of mobile broadband devices on the market.

Included in the end-to-end solution are the PC USB drivers, the embedded device stack (firmware) and testing tools to ensure interoperability, stability and robustness.

Each component has been widely deployed by Tier-1 platform manufacturers and OEMs and is comprehensively field-tested.

The solution also includes the newly-released ZeroDriver software, which provides mobile connectivity without requiring the installation of drivers or applications on the PC.

A number of industry-leading development and testing tools will be featured on the Jungo stand at the Embedded World 2010 exhibition in Nuremberg. Among them will be [USBHost Tester], a unique productivity system for checking the compatibility of an embedded host stack with a wide variety of devices, and WinDriver, the driver development toolkit for any device.

Embedded World 2010 will run from March 2 - 4. The Jungo stand, in Hall 10, booth 10-217, will be co-hosted with Imcor GmbH, Jungo's German agent.

Jungo releases WinDriver v10.1.1

10.1.1, the latest version of Jungo's industry-leading driver development toolkit, enables the distribution of Linux Kernel PlugIn drivers without their source code. It also adds support for building Kernel PlugIn drivers using the kbuild framework. Another new function restricts the scanning of the PCI bus to devices that have been registered to work with WinDriver.

The WinDriver product line enables driver development for USB, PCI, PCI Express, CardBus, CompactPCI, ISA, PMC, PCI-X, PCI-104 and PCMCIA based devices, and supports Windows 2000/XP/XP Embedded/Server 2003/Vista, Windows CE.NET, Windows Mobile, Linux, Solaris and VxWorks.

New NCM Driver Support for USBware and DriverCore

Jungo has completed implementing NCM driver support in both the USBware (embedded stack) and the DriverCore (PC communication drivers) components of its end-to-end Mobile Broadband solution. This support means that 4G Ethernet-over-USB connectivity can now be incorporated in the designs of mobile handsets, datacards, embedded 4G modules and other mobile devices for use on high-speed networks such as LTE and WiMAX.

Jungo has already integrated its NCM driver solution with chipsets from leading LTE providers and supports LTE Cat 3 bandwidth requirements.
