Partner News: Ellisys expands its WiMedia-based, Certified Wireless USB product portfolio with the new UWB Generator 320
Developers already know the benefits of Ellisys' Certified Wireless USB protocol analyzer for verifying and validating their device's behavior. They can now supplement protocol analysis with the new Ellisys' Ultra Wideband generator to create reproducible traffic, timing and error scenarios for testing corner cases and recovery mechanisms.
Containing a specialized processor designed specifically for WiMedia and Certified Wireless USB protocols, it produces sequences of arbitrary frames with programmable inter-frame delay, and can then wait for any kind of response frame or event. The processor's instruction set enables developers to emulate Wireless USB hosts and devices as well as various WiMedia-based devices. Integrated with Ellisys' leading Ultrawideband and Certified Wireless USB protocol analysis software, users can reproduce previously-recorded scenarios, or modify them for testing corner cases and recovery mechanisms.

Jungo Announces a New Version of USBware's CDC ACM/ECM/OBEX Function Drivers
Allowing high speed communication between the PC and USB peripheral is a strong requirement from embedded devices.
Jungo's new version of the CDC-ACM, CDC-ECM and CDC-OBEX allows ever more flexibility and robustness offering a
complete communication solution for network connectivity over the USB bus.
The CDC specification has been developed to answer the need of telecommunication services for devices based on analog or digital telephone line and medium speed networking services which use a 24/7 network connection. CDC is ideal for devices such as, Mobile Phones, Analog/ADSL/Cable Modems, analog/digital telephones Wireless Terminals, Ethernet Adaptors as well as Legacy and other network devices.
The CDC-ACM (Abstract Communication Module) allows modem devices to identify them selves as Serial devices sending and receiving AT commands over the data or control pipe. The CDC-ECM (Ethernet Control Module) supports TCP/IP connectivity over USB. The CDC-OBEX (Object Exchange) supports the transfer of data structures and objects over the USB-CDC framework.
