Atmel and Jungo Announce Availability of Jungo's USBware Software Protocol Stacks for Atmel's AT91 Smart ARM Microcontrollers
Atmel® Corporation, a global leader in the development and fabrication of advanced semiconductor solutions, and Jungo® Software Technologies, a leading provider of USB/PCI software solutions, announced the availability of Jungo's USBware™ Embedded USB Software Stacks for Atmel's Smart ARM® Microcontrollers. Compliant with the USB specifications, Jungo's host and device stacks provide high quality, production ready, and fully featured implementations of the Universal Serial Bus standard protocols and device class drivers. The AT91 ARM™7- and ARM™9-based microcontrollers include on-chip device and host USB functionality and come equipped with a wide range of third party software including BSPs for all leading RTOSes. Jungo's USBware features an operating system independent implementation of the USB protocol, facilitating development with any operating system, including common RTOS such as eCos/eCosPRO, µC\OS-II, OSE, ThreadX, Linux, VxWorks, Windows CE, XP, Integrity, pSOS, MQX, Nucleus, embOS and proprietary 16/32-bit operating systems. The partnership offers a pre-validated and complete USB software implementation including low-level controller drivers for the AT91 host and device cores and standard class drivers, allowing developers to easily incorporate USB connectivity.
Jungo Releases Version 8.10 of Vista-Ready WinDriver USB/PCI Driver Development Tools
Jungo has recently announced that its market leading USB/PCI driver development toolkit, WinDriver, now supports the latest Windows Vista operating system.
WinDriver developers can now port their existing drivers to Windows Vista without making any modifications to their driver code base.
Jungo Announces Availability of its USBware Video Function Driver
As part of its USBware (embedded USB software stack) product line, Jungo has released a fully compliant Video function driver. Designed to reside on top of Jungo's USB Device Stack, the Video function driver allows device manufactures to easily connect and stream data to a Windows XP PC utilizing the recently released Windows native Video Class Driver. The function driver includes a generic library, allowing the device application to implement all or only sections of the video class specification. This includes all defined terminals and units, including Camera, Media Transport (in/out), Display, Selector and Processing. All terminal defined properties are also supported, such as scanning mode, auto exposure mode, auto exposure priority, focus, iris, zoom, pantilt, etc. All video streaming formats are supported including uncompressed, MJPEG, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4 and DV. Still Image transfers is also supported under all three available methods. To allow quick configuration and automatic generation of the video descriptors, the driver is accompanied by a custom graphical user interface.
