NDS Acquired Jungo Ltd Jungo is pleased to announce that NDS Group Plc has completed the acquisition of Jungo earlier this month. NDS provides open end-to-end solutions that enable broadcasters, platform operators, channels, and content providers to broadcast TV, and is acquiring Jungo for its OpenRG residential gateways software platform. As part of NDS group Jungo will operate as an independent subsidiary, and will continue serving the USB/PCI Driver Development Tools and Embedded USB software markets.

New Video Function/Class Drivers for USBware's Embedded USB Host, Device and OTG Stacks Jungo Announces availability of Video Function/Class Drivers for USBware's embedded USB host, embedded USB device and OTG stacks.

Fully compliant with the USB-IF Video Class Specification, the new Video Function Driver offers developers of video capture devices to stream video images directly to any Windows* PC utilizing USB's high speed transfer capacity of up to 480 Mega bits per second.

The Video Function Driver is fully compliant with the Microsoft Video Class Driver, which is provided as an integral part of Windows XP/SP2 and Vista. Developers using this solution are not required to provide any additional host drivers. In addition, host applications can be integrated using standard Windows multimedia APIs.

The Video Function Driver is an ideal solution for embedded devices with imaging capture capabilities such as Webcams, imaging devices, video transceivers & medical devices required to transfer data to and from a PC.

The driver includes support for all still image transfer methods and is provided together with a graphical configuration tool allowing developers to input device settings such as processing unit, contrast and number of cameras directly into the auto-generated descriptor file.

Jungo Announces USBware Support for the Samsung SC241x Multipurpose Micro-Processor Jungo has recently completed successful integration of its USBware host and device stack with the Samsung SC241x ARM9 32bit RISC CPUs. The integration included development of low level USB host and device controller drivers for the Samsung on-chip full speed USB controller. Embedded device manufactures can now easily add support for USB host and device connectivity running a variety of operating system all supported by USBware, including, Linux, eCos, Nucleus, ThreadX, OSE, WinCE, MS-DOS, uC/OS-II, VxWorks and proprietary OS environments.

USBware offers a complete, high quality, small footprint and industry compliant embedded USB Host/Device/On-The-Go (OTG) software protocol stacks. Designed to suit the diversity of embedded platforms, USBware’s modular architecture encompasses three software layers: low level controller driver (HAL), USB Core, and Class Drivers.

Class/Function Drivers supported include, Mass Storage, HID, Serial, CDC/ECM/ACM/EEM/OBEX/RNDIS, Video, Audio, PictBridge, DFU, Printer, MTP. Jungo’s USBware is provided in ANSI C source code, extensive documentation and support services, with royalty-free distribution rights.

New CDC ACM Concept Demo for Jungo's Windows PC USB Communication Drivers Jungo's Windows PC USB Communication Drivers enable developers to expose native communication and serial devices to Windows platforms, as part of their mobile devices connectivity. Jungo's Class Drivers support the USB CDC and DFU (Device Firmware Upgrade) specifications and USB-to-Serial designs.
