In the run-up to the World Mobile Congress 2010 in Barcelona, Jungo has announced that its USB solution for Mobile Broadband devices is now available for terminal equipment OEMs and chipset manufacturers. The solution, which is based on Jungo's USBware and DriverCore technologies, ensures seamless connectivity between host platforms, such as PCs and laptops, and the increasingly wide variety of mobile broadband devices on the market.
Included in the end-to-end solution are the PC USB drivers, the embedded device stack (firmware) and testing tools to ensure interoperability, stability and robustness.
Each component has been widely deployed by Tier-1 platform manufacturers and OEMs and is comprehensively field-tested.
The solution also includes the newly-released ZeroDriver software, which provides mobile connectivity without requiring the installation of drivers or applications on the PC.
Another new function restricts the scanning of the PCI bus to devices that have been registered to work with WinDriver.
The WinDriver product line enables driver development for USB, PCI, PCI Express, CardBus, CompactPCI, ISA, PMC, PCI-X, PCI-104 and PCMCIA based devices, and supports Windows 2000/XP/XP Embedded/Server 2003/Vista, Windows CE.NET, Windows Mobile, Linux, Solaris and VxWorks.
Meet Jungo at the Mobile World Congress 2010, in Barcelona, Spain, from February 15 to February 18, 2010.
At the show, Jungo will demonstrate its Mobile Broadband connectivity solution, which includes top products USBware™ and Drivercore™ and introduces ZeroDriver. a new solution which will be demonstrated for the first time. ZeroDriver provides mobile connectivity without requiring the installation of drivers or applications on the PC.
Visitors to the show are invited to meet with Jungo executives and learn more about the company's comprehensive Mobile Broadband solution. Jungo will be sharing the NDS booth: Hospitality Suite 4.4HS14, Focus Areas: Hall 4, Level 4.
Jungo has completed implementing NCM driver support in both the USBware (embedded stack) and the DriverCore (desktop stack) components of its end-to-end Mobile Broadband solution.
This support means that 4G Ethernet-over-USB connectivity can now be incorporated in the designs of mobile handsets, datacards, embedded 4G modules and other mobile devices for use on high-speed networks such as LTE and WiMAX.
Jungo has already integrated its NCM driver solution with chipsets from leading LTE providers and supports LTE Cat 3 bandwidth requirements.
WinDriver and other development tools will be featured on Jungo's stand at the Embedded World 2010 conference and exhibition in Nuremberg in March. The stand will be co-hosted by Jungo and Imcor GmbH, the company's German agent.
Embedded World 2010 will be held in Nuremberg from March 2 – 4 2010. The Jungo booth is in Hall 10, booth 10-217.
