SAN JOSE, Calif., October 13, 2004 - Jungo® Software Technologies, Inc., announced today the release of Go-HotSwap Version 6.22 for Linux operating system. This release complements a recent release of Go-HotSwap v6.22 for Windows and Solaris announced on August 10th, 2004. Go-HotSwap is a software infrastructure that adds the necessary software modules required to enable CompactPCI hot swapping, and provides the tools and development environment to develop hot swap aware drivers on the latest Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003, Solaris 8,9 and Linux operating systems. Go-HotSwap complies with PICMG 2.1 R2.0 requirements for CompactPCI General Use Full Hot Swap Software.
Go-HotSwap is a complete off-the-shelf software offering an ideal solution for hardware vendors, as well as for system integrators and operating system vendors, aiming to provide hot swap capabilities to the end user. Using the Go-HotSwap architecture reduces time-to-market, enabling developers to focus on core technologies instead of going through all the effort involved in developing in-house hot swap software.
Please refer to the Go-HotSwap v6.22 User's Guide for detailed information:
The Go-HotSwap license includes Jungo's WinDriver driver development tool, as an integrated component. The driver development toolkit dramatically simplifies the very difficult task of developing a device driver from scratch. It provides a complete solution for creating high performance drivers, which handle interrupts and I/O at optimal rates. More information about WinDriver is available under: www.jungo.com/windriver_usb_pci_driver_development_software.html.
