Collaboration to Provide Innovative End-to-End Driver Development Solution, From Device Firmware to Host Drivers, for Cypress USB Controllers

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 29, 2005 - Jungo Software Technologies, Inc. a leading provider of USB/PCI software solutions, today announced a new partnership with Cypress Semiconductor Corp. to provide a complete first of its kind software development solution for Cypress EZ-USB FX1 (CY7C64713) and EZ-USB FX2LP (CY7C68013A) full-speed and high-speed peripheral controllers.

For the past 3 years Jungo and Cypress have been working together to provide Jungo's host driver development toolkits with Cypress EZ-USB family chipsets. This collaboration enabled USB device manufacturers to quickly and successfully develop host drivers for their EZ-USB-based USB peripherals.

With its newly announced WinDriver version 7.0 host driver development toolkit, Jungo introduces the WinDriver USB Device™ toolkit that simplifies the development of firmware for USB peripherals based on Cypress' EZ-USB FX2LP controller. Together with WinDriver v7.0 for USB Host side development, this new cutting-edge solution offered by Cypress and Jungo is the first hardware/software connectivity solution offering end-to-end development of device firmware to host side drivers.

Cypress's EZ-USB FX2LP is a fully integrated peripheral controller, including an 8051 microprocessor, a serial interface engine, a high-speed USB 2.0 transceiver, on-chip RAM and FIFO and a general programmable interface. Its unique architecture handles all basic USB functions, enabling the host system's microprocessor to focus on application-specific functions and ensuring sustained high-performance data transfer rates.

WinDriver USB Device enables developers of USB devices to easily generate firmware that defines the desired USB interface for their target devices, using an intuitive user interface. WinDriver USB Device includes firmware libraries for the supported development boards.
