The AT91 ARM™7- and ARM™ 9-based microcontrollers include on-chip device and host USB functionality and come equipped with a wide range of third party software including BSPs for all leading RTOSes. Jungo's USBware features an operating system independent implementation of the USB protocol, facilitating development with any operating system, including common RTOS such as eCos/eCosPRO, µC\OS-II, OSE, ThreadX, Linux®, Vxworks® WinCE, XPe, Integrity®, pSOS, MQX, Nucleus, embOS and proprietary 16/32-bit operating systems. The partnership offers a pre-validated and complete USB software implementation including low-level controller drivers for the AT91 host and device cores and standard class drivers, allowing developers to easily incorporate USB connectivity. Atmel's AT91 Smart ARM-based microcontrollers cover the entire
spectrum from low-cost, low-pin-count devices based on the ARM7
processor to high-performance systems-on-chip based on the ARM9.
The ARM processor offers a flexible configuration of on- and
off-chip memories together with an extensive set of peripherals for
control, communication and data storage purposes. These include USB
Host and Device and Ethernet 10/100 Base-T MAC as well as
interfaces for a variety of Flash cards.
