Natanya, Israel, - December 13th,
2000: - Jungo today announced the release of
GO-HotSwap version 4.42 for Windows and Linux
operating systems.
GO-HotSwap version 4.42 has an improved Kernel Mode
Engine to provide a better mechanism of managing and
administrating the CompactPCI bus - resources management
and allocation, enumeration, event dispatching, and PCI
device registers initialization. Version 4.42 also features
improvements to the Configuration Manager, enabling a better
implementation of Hot Swap capabilities with legacy PCI
drivers.
A new utility was added to the
GO-HotSwap v.4.42 utilities library, enabling
dynamic loading or unloading of PnP style drivers that were
written for Windows 2000 without originally supporting Hot
Swap capabilities. Thus
GO-HotSwap now supports
legacy PCI drivers for all supported operating systems, as
well as legacy PnP style drivers for Windows 2000.
GO-HotSwap v.4.42 includes Jungo's new version
release of driver development tools - WinDriver v.4.33;
together with GO-HotSwap it enables easy development of Hot
Swappable drivers from scratch.
About GO-HotSwap
GO-HotSwap features an operating system extension
that plugs into the operating system and adds all the
necessary software layers that are required to support
Hot-Swap of CompactPCI boards. GO-HotSwap also includes driver
development tools that enable development of Hot-Swappable
drivers from scratch.
