Jungo and Lineo Announce Joint Partnership

Natanya, Israel, - November 6, 2000: - Jungo Ltd., a market leader in the hardware access market, "Connecting software to hardware", and Lineo, Inc., a leading provider of embedded Linux solutions, have announced a joint partnership that will allow customers to more easily port major operating systems to embedded Linux.

Lineo can now offer it's customers Jungo's cross platform development tools and is also the first embedded Linux distributor that can offer it's customers Hot-Swap infrastructure with it's product. Jungo's products, WinDriver and GO-HotSwap are cross platform, therefore lowering the barriers between Linux and major operating systems, enabling easy porting to embedded Linux.

WinDriver enables developers to quickly create custom device drivers that can run on a multitude of operating systems without modification. GO-HotSwap OS Extension, provides a complete and cross platform solution for the CompactPCI high-availability market, comprising of Information Technology companies and other mission critical applications.

The key benefit: Time to market!
Since Lineo has the right to sell Jungo products, it will be able to provide its customers with a more complete solution, by offering cross platform development tools with Embedix.

The developer writing a new driver with WinDriver will be able to compile and run the same driver on all supported operating systems. The process will not require any knowledge of the Linux kernel, thus shortening the development time considerably. The developer working on Linux will still generate a driver that is operable on other operating systems, without modifications.

As a member of Lineo's Partner program, Jungo has access to Lineo's broad-based expertise in software design and Open Source solutions. "Jungo is an important partner of ours because of their ability to provide cross-platform solutions" said Drew Jackman, director of ISV relations. "Through this partnership, Jungo will allow embedded Linux to become a more mainstream solution for embedded device manufacturers."

Amir Inbar, Marketing Director at Jungo commented, "We are delighted to commence the collaboration with Lineo, to help accelerate the adoption of Linux as the preferred platform for software developers in the embedded market. Our suite of applications is available on the Linux operating system as part of our strategy of allowing customer choice.
