Everex Communications Inc. and Jungo Software Technologies Inc. Partner to Provide a Complete Broadband IAD / Intelligent Gateway Solution

The Everex hardware solution includes the National Semiconductor Geode processor and Conexant's ADSL chipset, powered by Jungo's OpenRG IAD Linux based operating system.

Fremont and Sunnyvale, Calif., April 9, 2001Everex Communications Inc. and Jungo Software Technologies Inc., today announced the availability of a complete broadband Integrated Access Device (IAD), the Everex IntelliWAY™. This fully operational broadband gateway meets the services required in broadband enabled homes and offices, including Internet sharing, diverse home networking interfaces (Ethernet, Wireless LAN and HPNA) Security, VPN and Voice (VoIP / VoDSL).

The IntelliWAY features National Semiconductor Corporation's (NYSE: NSM) Geode™ processor and Conexant Systems', Inc. (NASDAQ: CNXT) AccessRunner™ multi-function ADSL chipset together with Jungo's OpenRG gateway software platform.

Internet service providers can now offer their subscribers a 'ready-to-use' box, providing the networking applications required in the homes/SOHO and high-level applications including VoIP, Security and VPN. System vendors can use this pre-integrated solution to jump-start their time-to-market in providing an advanced, feature rich, highly competitive expandable broadband access device / intelligent gateway.
