SAN JOSE, Calif., January 4, 2005Jungo Software Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of home, SOHO and SMB gateway software, and StorLink Semiconductors, Inc., a worldwide technology leader in network storage technology today announced a new fully integrated software and hardware reference design targeted at OEMs and ODMs designing Home, SOHO and SMB NAS systems. Jungo's field proven and widely deployed software suite bundled with StorLink's highly integrated silicon enables vendors to bring to market competitive NAS devices in less then 3 months from early stages of design into mass production.

The newly introduced System-on-a-Chip (SoC) bundled with a commercial software license from Jungo, achieves new levels of cost and its priced at $10 in quantities of 50k units, enabling OEMs/ODMs the delivery of advanced NAS devices with retail price of under $60 with out the drives.

"The first generation of consumer/SMB networked storage came to being with standalone NAS boxes. Home users are demanding solutions to share and secure their photos and other media files. SMBs see the appeal of a lower-cost, easier to manage alternative to using low-end servers for simple file sharing", said Jeremey Donovan, Chief Analyst at Gartner Dataquest. "The future generation brings the very real prospect of converging storage functionality with network routing and firewall with benefits that extend from lower-cost to simplified management to a smaller footprint".

Based on StorLink's Centroid System-on-a-Chip (SoC) storage router device bundled with Jungo's sate-of-the-art Linux based OpenRG™ software suite, ODMs and OEMs will be able to introduce highly competitive NAS devices, storage routers with VPN, and Office-in-a-box solutions. The flexible architecture allows vendors to add premium features such video/audio processing and streaming to differentiate their products.

NAS devices based on the new Jungo/StorLink solution will provide advanced functionality including certified firewall and VPN, hardware encryption engine, secure wireless connectivity, print server and file server functionality supporting dynamic storage recognition, FAT32/ext2/ext3 disk formatting, FAT32/ext2/FAT12/FAT16 disk mounting, graphic display of storage device on network map, partition table administration, error detection and repair utilities and friendly user administration via web based management.

"Today's home and office users are looking for expandable, secure and easy to use and share storage solutions for the rapidly increasing digital content ", said Ofer Vilenski, Jungo's Chief Executive Officer. "The StorLink SoC storage router device bundled with Jungo's OpenRG software will assist OEMs to quickly bring to market high quality, low price storage networking devices."

"Bundling Jungo's software with our silicon enables us to offer OEMs a field proven and widely deployed software solution in the most cost effective manner, improving time to market and reducing the risks associated with complex software development and integration", said Dr. Stewart Wu, CEO and Chairman of StorLink Semiconductors.
