San Jose, CA, Tokyo, Japan - October 9, 2007Jungo Ltd., a leading provider of broadband value-added-service solutions, and Alexon, a leading provider of communication equipment for Small Office and Home Office, today announced that the IPV family of gateways, powered by Jungo's OpenSMB TM software, is now available to Operator-managed businesses. Alexon's IPV family of business gateways support Hikari Denwa Office Type provided by NTT East and NTT West. Hikari Denwa is an IP phone service that uses the FLET'S HIKARI PREMIUM and B FLET'S network. Hikari Denwa offers lower prices than those for a subscriber line or an INS-Net line. Alexon's gateways that support Hikari Denwa Office Type allow easy deployment of IP telephony services that reduce communication costs between sites.

A study by market research firm IDC forecasts1 that the CAGR of the 2007-2011 Japan router market will be 2.7% based on revenue. "The deployment of additional functions to business branch-office routers and the integration of functions to routers should be one direction of product development for vendors. In order to increase the demand for enterprise routers, it is important for the vendors to increase usage opportunities by incorporating functions of other devices into routers and providing value-added functions," observes Kenichi Kusano, Market Analyst, Communications, IDC Japan.

"Alexon has chosen Jungo's OpenSMB as a software foundation for its entire range of IP product solutions. Jungo's OpenSMB has enabled Alexon to quickly deploy its new IP Solution for small and home businesses", said Tomonori Eguchi, Alexon's General Manager, Engineering Department. He added: "We are planning to release a new IPV gateway series by the mid of 2008 powered by Jungo's OpenSMB software platform."

Jungo's OpenSMB enables delivery of innovative, usable and manageable value-added-services to evolving digital offices, while minimizing the Operator's support cost and VAS time-to-market. Jungo's OpenRG software for small and medium business gateways supports all popular office networks and access networks; including high-performance feature-rich VAS enablers, such as QoS, VoIP, Firewall and Remote management; and a growing set of value-added-services.

"Jungo's OpenSMB Office-in-a-Box TM solution effectively delivers a wide range of valuable SMB services, which are translated into new revenue streams for the advanced Operator, while reducing the need for internal business IT support," said Dr. Yair Shapira, Jungo's VP of Marketing. "Jungo and Alexon provide state-of-the-art business gateways that will help office users enjoy advanced voice and data capabilities, while minimizing setup and maintenance costs."

Dr. Shapira continued, "Japan is a very important market for us and one for which we have great ambitions. Jungo is significantly expanding its Japanese presence to bring its proven broadband service solutions to Japanese Operators, both for residential and business segments."
