PARIS, FRANCE - Broadband World Forum, booth J1 - september 28, 2011Jungo
Ltd., a NDS Group company and a leading provider of unified software for residential
gateways, today announced that it has been selected by 013 Netvision, Israel's longest
standing ISP, to provide middleware and advanced customer support services for the
provider's NetBox home gateway. Powered by Jungo's OpenRG and Panorama remote
management system, the Netvision NetBox was commercially deployed last month.
Utilising Jungo's OpenRG intelligent gateway software, 013 Netvision has been able to
decouple the software layer of their home gateways from the hardware, allowing 013
Netvision to deploy a single and unified software layer on all deployed and future devices,
regardless of hardware provider, chipset or access technology. In addition, by choosing
Jungo's OpenRG and Panorama, 013 Netvision is able to future-proof its offering for
customers through remote deployment of value-added products and services to the NetBox
gateway.
Yaniv Gruenwald, CTO & VP Engineering at 013 Netvision, said: "We decided to decouple
the software from the hardware in order to gain control of our broadband offering and
introduce new innovative services that are demanded by our subscribers. Jungo's unified
gateway software is technologically outstanding and enables us to achieve full control over
hardware prices while reducing our over-all support costs."
Jungo's next generation remote management system, Panorama™ and advanced support
tools allow 013 Netvision's customer service team to access and view the customer's entire
home network, enabling them to analyze and resolve issues through the gateway. This will
help to reduce support call costs and improve the quality of experience for subscribers.
Commenting on the partnership, Eran Rom, CEO, Jungo said: "We're extremely pleased to
be working with 013 Netvision, one of the most established and successful technology
brands in Israel. Netvision recognise the value of moving fast to keep up with customer
demands and by taking full control of the software on their platform now have the
infrastructure to rapidly launch new and innovative services."
