Jungo and CogniVue Partner to Enable USB Connectivity on CV220X Image Processors

Highlights

  • Jungo’s USB device functionality to be integrated with CogniVue’s CV220X image cognition processors
  • CogniVue-Jungo solution to be demonstrated at CES 2012 in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, January 4, 2012 - Jungo Ltd., a leading provider of connectivity software solutions, and CogniVue Corporation, a pioneer in the development of a new class of programmable processors for low power, small form factor embedded intelligent vision processing, today announced a partnership to integrate Jungo’s embedded USB device functionality into CogniVue’s CV220X Image Cognition Processor (ICP) Software Development Kit (ICP SDK) .

This partnership facilitates end-customer and 3rd party development on CV220X processors and accelerates product time-to-market by integrating a first class, high speed, small footprint USB stack for enabling connectivity of CV220X-powered embedded vision products.

Jungo’s USB device software ported to CV220X ICPs supports video, mass storage, bulk for discrete commands, and human interface device (HID) classes. CogniVue’s 1-inch cube smart camera module, “SmartVue”, is the world’s smallest smart camera development module and will be demonstrated at CES. The CV220X and SmartVue demonstrations will include functionality such as moving object detection, gesture recognition, face detection, de-warping, lane departure warning, blind spot detection and smart back-up camera. Jungo’s integrated USB HID driver enables USB connectivity from SmartVue to the host PC.

Our partnership with CogniVue further strengthens the end-solution by providing best-in-class USB connectivity to new and emerging embedded vision markets“, said Ophir Herbst, General Manager of Jungo.

Tom Wilson, Director of Product Management & Marketing, CogniVue Corporation said, “Working in partnership with a world-class USB supplier is extremely beneficial as it completes our solution offering to our customers needing pre-integrated USB connectivity.” To meet with Jungo at CES 2012, please contact Daphna Weiss, Gil Dotan, or arrange a meeting via our web site.
