Jungo Paves the Way for Gateway Manufacturers Seeking Xbox Live Certification
SAN JOSE, Calif., March 23, 2005
Jungo Software Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of home, SOHO and SMB gateway software, announced that it has made its OpenRG software platform ready for Xbox™ Live certification. Hardware manufacturers and service providers selecting Jungo’s software will be using a core software platform that has met the highest standards of the Xbox Live certification program.
Jungo invested engineering effort in making OpenRG adhere to the networking standards specified in Microsoft’s Xbox Live test suite. Jungo’s quality assurance laboratory ran the tests on a commercial ADSL gateway, and provided Microsoft with the tests results, that were acknowledged as successful. The significance of this is that gateway manufacturers who use OpenRG to develop home gateways, can confidently submit their product to Microsoft for Xbox Live certification testing knowing that the software platform they are using was already successfully tested.
“We are delighted to work with Microsoft as we strive to offer our customers fastest time-to-market with the most advanced features, and minimum engineering effort”, said Yaal Eshel, Jungo’s Marketing Director. “We understand the importance of the online gaming experience to our customers, and that is the driving force for investing time and effort in making OpenRG compatible with Xbox, one of the leading gaming consoles.”
