USBHost Tester provides you with the confidence that your USB products will function accurately and correctly. Designed to test the boundaries, performance and functionality of any embedded USB host stacks, Jungo's USBHost Tester includes the following testing capabilities:
- Negative Testing
- Simulating flawed USB devices
The simulated errors are based on real-world devices' behavior, and enable you to make sure your USB host can handle non-standard implementations
- Core Tests
- Targeted at the low level USB host software
Test basic operating such as: device connects and disconnects and USB transfers (Bulk, Interrupt, Control and Isochronous).
Performing stress tests on these modules can provide substantial insight about the stability of the USB host
- Test Automation
- Eliminating the need for manual operation
Enable you to run tests overnight without human staff performing repetitive actions (like device plug-in). This will drastically reduces testing cycle and increase time utilization
The USBHost Tester is used in any industry which requires USB connectivity including:
Why Test Your USB Host?
USB is mostly identified as a method to connected peripherals to a PC host (usually Windows). However, as USB host connectivity is now introduced into many new embedded systems, users expect PC-like behavior from these products.
USB devices that work well with Windows are not necessarily compliant to the USB specifications and might not be supported by the embedded host.
In addition, since the USB stack interacts with other OS components (e.g. File system, TCP/IP stack) that each is provided by a different vendor, testing required to validate the smooth operation of the integrated system.
Bottom line:
When a problem occurs, customers do not look for the fault in their existing device; instead, they blame the new product, which contains the embedded host
