» A part of USBware: Embedded USB Software solution
USBware for Medical Devices was designed to support the specific needs of manufacturers of medical devices. USBware enables implementing Universal Serial Bus (USB) connectivity in medical devices, allowing devices to communicate directly with USB peripherals and PCs using the USB.

With the outspread of USB memory devices, medical devices now require the ability to connect to USB devices in order to store medical images, log files and personal data, and upload new firmware to the device.

Jungo provides the complete USB stack required to implement USB connectivity in medical devices firmware.

USBware features a scalable architecture, which supports a variety of off-the-shelf USB controllers and operating systems, as well as non-standard controllers and proprietary operating systems.

This enables medical device manufacturers to select the architecture best suitable for their device, and furthermore enables existing devices to easily add USB connectivity in future releases.

Jungo offers a variety of class drivers, including Mass Storage, HID (Keyboard/Mouse), Video, Audio and others*, which enable communication with different USB peripherals.

* See USBware's main page for a complete and up-to-date list of class drivers available.

USBware introduces a complete solution, suitable for:
  • Mobile medical devices
  • Enabling USB flash memory access
  • Adding USB connectivity to existing devices
  • Transferring medical images, data and logs
  • Easily updating firmware via USB flash drives
